You did not need a kiss today
Or stop and wave as you went in
You said you knew where to go
So I sit with my cup of tea
Little pools creating in it
I say “I’m tired, I got up so early
There was so much to prepare.’
But I did not prepare me
How could the weight of emotion be small?
When once you were
