Too soft inside,
that's your trouble.
Not resilient enough.
In a good way though—
like a feather pillow
or a cashmere sweater—
not like underdone
banana loaf
or a deflating balloon.
Too soft like you were
meant to be so.
Like a safe place
for others to fall,
like a hug
you never want to leave.
